In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to EKTA Travel Group.

• Identity details: full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number and a copy of your passport photo page when you upload it.
• Contact details: email address, phone number and postal address.
• Trip details: destination, travel dates and the plan you choose.
• Payment details: processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
• Claims information, which may include medical records and receipts you send us.
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.

3. How we use your data

• To issue, administer and verify your insurance policy and certificate.
• To provide 24/7 assistance and handle claims.
• To meet legal, regulatory, anti-fraud and accounting obligations in the UAE.
• To answer your questions and send service messages about your policy.
• To improve our website and services. We only send marketing with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Automatic passport reading

When you or our staff upload a passport image, it is processed automatically to fill in your details and save typing. The image is used only for this purpose, and the extracted details are always checked before a policy is issued.

5. Sharing your data

We share personal data only where necessary with: insurers and reinsurers underwriting your policy; medical and assistance providers when you need help abroad; payment processors; IT and hosting providers acting on our instructions; and public authorities when required by law. Anyone checking a certificate on our verification page sees only a masked version of the holder's name. We never sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Because travel insurance is used abroad, your data may be transferred outside the UAE, for example to a hospital in your destination country. We take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected.

7. How long we keep data

We keep policy and claims records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting retention requirements, then delete or anonymise them.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you may ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent. Contact us using the details below.
